  No, lasers are not a source of energy – they are a consumer of energy

  You have to ‘fuel’ the laser…and cool it. Neither of which is cost effective. Even medium size lasers are thousands and thousands and thousands of dollars.

  You’d end up with a $90,000.00 Ford Focus.

  Sorry, lasers are not a power source except perhaps through some kind of photo-receptor cell, but they would require much more power input than they would provide.
