What are some of the good things that George W. has accomplished?

First off, I’m not sticking up for him. But I’d like to know what are some of the good things this guy’s done. I can think of one.

Whether he meant to or not, he made us aware of how dependent on foreign oil we really are. As a an indirect result of this, I believe we will see more alternative fuel cars.

What else is there?

    Growth in the economy until the Dems took over Washington.

    No attacks on American soil since 9/11 and the start of the war.

    The white house lawn still looks nice.

    Actually, the creation of the Department of Homeland Security was a good idea. I’ll give him credit for that.

    As for keeping us safe since 9/11, tell that to the families of the Iraqi people who have been killed on our watch.

    did you note that the bad guys have been tied up (so to speak) in the middle east and we’ve not been attacked again? How is BO going to pull that off?

    He rectified the poor security arragnements he inherrited from Bubba which allowed 9/11 to occur, thus preventing another terrorist attack on American soil.

    he didn’t make us aware of our dependency on oil. Gore did…a long time ago. I’m sorry. I can’t think of anything Bush did that didn’t have a catch to it or remove our freedoms while doing it.

    Well he’s given more money and aid to Africa than any previous president.

    He blew the crap out of the Taliban, hung a tyrannical dictator like Saddam Hussein and his cronies. Killed and or captured more than half of Al Qaeda’s leadership.

    There’s a few good things he’s done.

    Oh, and he really angered the UN. Which I find admirable.

    He’s actually been decent in dealing with AIDS in Africa. He’s probably the worst president in US history, but it’s tough to suck at every single thing.

    a few things are: you can voice your opinion, you are still alive arn`t you, and able to freely use your computer whenever you please, we do not live under communist or Islam rule yet, you can eat anything your little heart desires, you can listen to just about any radio station and watch hundreds of t-v stations, and wear whatever cloths you want, and drive what ever you prefer……ect. ect. ect.

    All of the positives above. And so many, many more. His legacy will be a great one, but most people can’t see that yet.

    He’s taken some questionable steps, but I think in the long run, the tax cuts and his national security steps are, without a doubt, the best that any of the last five presidents have done. Obama has big shoes to fill. He may not know it yet, but he will. And so will we.

    Kept us from being attacked at home during his administration

    Deposed the Taliban

    Deposed Saddam

    Forced Libya to abandon terrorism

    Supported Israel

    Supported Taiwan

    Started building the wall along our southern border

    Brought in No Child Left Behind with Ted Kennedy

    Enacted large tax cuts that got the economy going again after the recession in 2000

    Medicare prescription drug benefits for seniors

    Tried to reform the banking and mortgage industries

    Tried to reform Social Security

    Grew the GDP at 2.5% per year

    Helped the Dow hit 14,000

    Dropped unemployment to 4.5%

    Vetoed expansion of SCHIP

    Vetoed tax-payer funding of embryonic stem cell research in the private sector

    Opposed the Kyoto Protocol

    Tried to amend the Clean Air Act

    Created the country’s largest marine preserve off Hawaii

    Tried to lift the ban on offshore drilling

    Tried to get CAFTA passed

    Publicly condemmed North Korea and stopped Clinton’s policy of giving them nuclear technology

    Expanded economic sanctions against Syria

    1)Prevented Terrorist attacks on American soil after 8 years that contained an attack on the WTC, Kandar Towers(a military instillation by use where the attack was concerned), 2 embassies being bombed, and the U.S.S. Cole. Add to it terrorist attacks by the Govt – Ruby Ridge.
    Attempted to help the alternative fuel cause by talking about Hydrogen 2)Fuel cells, but was ridiculed and it was forgotten until it started to come true and every forgot he talked about it.
    3)Helped clean up the Stock marked after a scandal when he first took office from people cooking the books. Remember Enron, Adelphia, and others? He made it so the people HAVE to sign off on when they are telling the S.E.C. so they will be responsible.

    The second two were totally him and nothing to do with Congress. Can’t speak as much about preventing the attacks.
