  It will go up sometimes and down other times in the near term.

  But if you look at gas prices over the next 10 and 20 years, you have not seen anything yet as far as gas price increases.

  You do the same as any successful person has ever done. Get a great education in something useful which has a future and you work hard in that profession.

  Then you will not have much trouble affording any car you want.

  In today’s world it is impossible to predict where things will go. I would never believe the prices they get for cars today when I bought my first car about 50 years ago. But I wouldn’t believe the wages people get today either. If no one can afford the cars they make in the future they wouldn’t make them so inflation will occur and everyone will make more money and go into debt in order to drive one of the new $100,000 all electric cars. Likely those old gas vehicles will be mandated off the roads by then so you will not worry about gas prices except for your lawn mower.

  regular gasoline may dissapear, however diesel engines will allways be around because biofuel is incredably easy to make and because of its supirior lubricating properties it increases the life of a diesel engine by 30%
