We already have a prototype of this kind in the Philippines that was recently shown on tv a car that runs on solar powered. My next question is why can’t we manufacture this type of vehicle solely or only in the Philippines for other countries to stop using fossil fuel for the benefit of our own environment which is already polluted with so much carbon monoxide. Our economy is controlled by the 4 oil cartel(Petron, Shell…etc)obviously from multi national corporation of the US. Now producing such cars will cut off our importation of crude oil from the oil rich countries of OPEC but will also make us the very first country that doesn’t use diesel and gasoline as alternative fuel for our vehicles. Why do you think it is so hard to do for us Filipinos? We do not have enough smart engineers to do the job? We have so many corrupt government officials and the idea will just go down the drain like always? What a stupid country we have huh! If Edison and Swan can light up our world with the light bulb why can’t we Filipinos ride like the wind in a solar type car. I am full of imagination, yet some of us only take that to the toilet. I am frustrated with Filipinos, aren’t you? Thanks for your honest responses.
So in short, it takes time and esp. money to produce such things. But we are already in the future, how many more years do you expect us to see this kind of things to evolved esp. in the Philippines. If nano technology can reduce the size of the telephone we have today into a cellphone why not a cell site for solar energy powered vehicles. The technology is already here. We reduce the engine spec and the other essential and we derived into a solar panel. Imagine with me folks. I think we can do. With gallon of sweat and imagination as a Filipino. Why not.
